The aggregation went accessible in 1995 and in 1996 was called by Business Week as the "Number 1 Top Hot Growth Aggregation in America."1 Competitor Peregrine Systems purchased the aggregation for $1.2 billion in banknote and stock2 in 2001. On September 22, 2002, Peregrine and its wholly endemic subsidiary, Peregrine Remedy, Inc., filed for autonomous aegis beneath Chapter 11 of the United States Defalcation Code.3 Two months afterwards accounting irregularities affected Peregrine Systems into bankruptcy, it awash the Remedy business assemblage to BMC Software. Remedy was again accepted as Remedy, a BMC Software Aggregation until 2004, if it became accepted as the Service Management Business Unit.
